White velvet maxi dress is pleated into the high neck and meets at the shoulders with short, narrow straps. There is a vent at the back from knee level. Closes with a zip in the back. Fabric is cotton velveteen with rayon lining. It's a homemade dress so there are no labels - 1970s.

Condition

Fairly good. A fault of the dressmaker's - the lining rolls over at the neck and armhole edges and shows from outside for about  6mm (1/4"). Some of the lining showing at the neck has frayed. Fraying at the top of the rear vent. A small imperfection in the fabric and a small, faint mark, as shown.
